You’re not the only one

This is just a quick little post to say you’re not alone. You’re not the only one going through the troubles that you are going through. You’re not special in this. You may think that your problems are different from everybody else’s and maybe they are. But the feelings are not. The feelings you feel have been felt by someone else at some point in time. The feelings you feel about your problems, troubles and situation are okay. They are normal. They are understandable. Your feelings about your issues are likely the same feelings anyone else would feel in the same spot.

But you are not the only one. You are not the only one who has been in a situation like you are in. You are not alone in how you feel. Someone out there in the world feels the same way you do, or once felt the same way.


Humans have existed for about 200,000 years and it’s estimated in all that time about 107 billion people have ever lived. Someone felt the same way you feel now.

You Need To Know

Know that you aren’t alone in this. It’s normal to feel this. And so, here, in this moment, recognise it.

For what you feel, what it is you are going through, someone else made it through already. This means you can too.

Your Task

Think of someone on the other side of the world in the exact same situation as you. Feeling the same things and reacting in the same manner. Think of that person as if they looked identical to you. What would you tell them to cheer them up or help them out of this?

Up To You

How you choose to make it through is up to you. You are the author of your life, and therefore you must write your own story.
